Most of inland sailors gather around the Great Masurian lakes: Bełdany, Śniardwy, Niegocin and Mamry (read more). The season starts in the beginning of May and lasts untill the end of September.

Why should you choose Giżycko?

This town is located in the centre of the Masurian lakeland. It is simply adored by sailors because of... five harbours on the Niegocin lake. Additional four marinas are on the Kisajno lake and around the racz bay in Giżycko. Altogether there are 740 places for you to moor your boat. In this town there is even a big and modern guest harbour at your disposal. Fully equipped Port Ekomarina has got 138 boat places.

Keep in mind that you must have an approriate certificate while sailing in Poland. Only then you can charter a boat. It's also possible to hire a steersman. By doing so, all you need to do is to sit on a sun deck and admire picturesque views!


How do you get to the Great Masurian Lakes? It's as easy as pie: take the plane to Gdańsk or Warsaw and rent a car at the airport. You can, of course, take your own car and travel with the ferry to the continent. Book accommodation directly in the lakeland. Don't forget to take care of your travel insurance!
